GENERAL SAFETY

Please remember that the school doors open at 8:00 am. when the teachers meet their classes on the playground. In the event of rain, the doors will open at 8:00 am. as well. Please do not send children to school too early on rainy days. The doors cannot open early because teachers are still in preparation for the day's activities and cannot provide adequate supervision.

To insure the safety of our children, we ask that all parents follow a few simple rules when bringing children to school:

1. Please keep your child with you at all times. Even if you are waiting for additional children, we ask that your child (ren) stand beside you until the others come out of the school building.

2. Do not leave your car double parked in the street.

3. Do not bring pets, especially dogs, to the playground.

4. Do not enter the parking lot between 7:50 - 8:10 am.

5. Do not smoke on the playground or parking lots.

6. Please remember that the school parking lot is not the neighborhood playground after school. We ask that you take your child(ren) to the car as soon as they are dismissed.


PLAYGROUND SAFETY REMINDERS

Parents are never permitted to drive up to the doors of the school or drive into the small play area next to the school. Please be respectful of our children.


Please remember that all vehicles have a blind spot both in front of and in the rear of the car. For large SUV's it can be as much as 7 ft. Please be careful backing up and pulling out of our lot.
