• Administer the consecrated Bread and Blood at all weekend Masses

Ushers

Choir and Cantors
• Festival Choir - Adults/Young Adults/Teens - Sing for 11:30 Mass from September though June
• Resurrection Choir - Adult Seniors sing for funerals
• School Children’s Choir - Sing for the two monthly Family Masses and for Friday morning 8:30 school Mass

Ministry of Care
• Male/female
• Bring Communion to parishioners homebound and in nursing facilities
• Visit and pray with the above
• Presently: 5 ministers

Religious Education
• Offered to grade school children attending public schools
• Given on Sundays at 9:00 am followed by 10:30 Mass at St. Mary of Perpetual Help or 11:30 Mass at St. Barbara
• Sacramental preparation provided

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults)
• For adults desiring to receive sacraments of Baptism, Holy Eucharist, and Confirmation
• Sessions begin in fall and end in spring
• Bi-weekly evening meetings
• Contact: Fr. Francis Li

Youth Group
• Open to teens in 8th grade and high school
• Monthly Sunday evening gathering with Mass followed by open gym
• Contact: Fr. Dennis Ziomek

Young Adult Ministry (YAM)
• Open to young adults, ages 18-40, single and married
• Focus on Catholic Faith, Service, and Social enrichment
• Events held every second Saturday of the month unless otherwise noted
• Respond to special parish needs through service and involvement
• Hosts TOT (Theology On Tap) the summer of 2008 and 2007

Greeters
• Welcome Sunday Mass Worshippers
• Distribute Worship Aids and Hymnals
• Coordinator: Mrs. Pam Ricci

CCD-Religious Education
• Faith instruction and Sacramental Preparation for 1st through 8th grade not attending St. Barbara School
• Meets Sunday morning, September through May
• Coordinator: Mrs. Roberta Carden, Contac: Fr. Dennis Ziomek 

Sacristans
• Wash the Altar Linens
• Contact: Fr. Dennis Ziomek

Church Cleaners
• Clean the church, vacuum the rungs, sweep the pew floor, wash and wax the pews, dust, clean the sacristies
• Twice a month, Saturdays at 9:00 a.m.
• Ideal for elementary school and high school service hours

Soup and Scripture
• Gather for Scripture Sharing and a simple meal of soup and bread during Lent
• Tuesdays at 6:45 p.m. after the 6:00 p.m. evening Mass
• Coordinator: Ms Bette Pienta
